45-Minute Ab Workout for a Perfectly Toned Core in 2023

It’s 2023, and that means it’s time to get your core back in shape. And while it may seem daunting to dedicate 45 minutes solely to your abdominals, it’s important to remember that a strong core is essential to overall good health and fitness. Having a strong core doesn’t just mean looking good in the mirror – it means better balance, posture, and coordination, which will help you stay active and keep up with all of your favorite activities. So, with that in mind, here is a 45-minute ab workout that will help you get the perfectly toned core you’re looking for.

This ab workout consists of four circuits, each lasting 10 minutes. Each circuit contains three different exercises, each of which is to be completed for one minute. You can complete the circuits in any order, but it is important to make sure you are pushing yourself the entire time. You will need a mat, a timer, and a pair of light dumbbells or a medicine ball or resistance band.

Circuit 1

1. Crunch: Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Put your hands behind your head with your elbows out. Lift your shoulder blades off of the floor, crunching up, and then lower back down. Repeat for one minute.

2. Mountain Climbers: Start in a high plank position, with your palms flat on the floor underneath your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart. Alternately, bring one knee forward and then the other, as if you are running in place. Keep your abs tight and your back straight. Repeat for one minute.

3. Plank Jacks: Start in a high plank position, with your palms flat on the floor underneath your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart. Jump your feet out to the sides and then back in. Keep your abs tight and your back straight. Repeat for one minute.

Circuit 2

1. Russian Twists: Sit on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Hold a light dumbbell or medicine ball in both hands and lean back slightly. Twist your torso to one side and then the other, keeping your abs tight. Repeat for one minute.

2. Reverse Crunches: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Lift your feet off of the ground and then bring your knees up towards your chest. Lower your feet back to the ground and repeat for one minute.

3. Side Plank: Start in a high plank position, with your palms flat on the floor underneath your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart. Shift your weight onto one side and prop yourself up with your forearm. Keep your hips raised and your abs tight. Hold for one minute, then switch sides.

Circuit 3

1. Bicycle Crunches: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Put your hands behind your head with your elbows out. Bring one knee up towards your chest while you twist your torso and bring the opposite elbow towards the knee. Switch sides and repeat for one minute.

2. Leg Raises: Lie on your back with your legs straight and your arms at your sides. Keeping your legs straight, slowly lift your feet up off of the ground. Lower them back down, but do not let them touch the ground. Repeat for one minute.

3. Plank Shoulder Taps: Start in a high plank position, with your palms flat on the floor underneath your shoulders and your feet hip-width apart. Tap one shoulder with the opposite hand and then switch sides. Keep your abs tight and your back straight. Repeat for one minute.

Circuit 4

1. Bridge: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Push your hips up towards the ceiling, keeping your abs tight. Lower your hips back down and repeat for one minute.

2. Toe Touches: Lie on your back with your legs straight and your arms at your sides. Lift your head and chest off of the ground and reach your hands towards your toes. Lower back down and repeat for one minute.

3. Burpees: Start standing with your feet shoulder-width apart. Squat down, put your hands on the ground and then jump your feet back into a high plank position. Jump your feet back in and then jump up, reaching your arms up towards the ceiling. Repeat for one minute.

There you have it – a 45-minute ab workout that will help you get the perfectly toned core you’re looking for. Completing this workout just three times a week will help you build a stronger core, improve your posture, and help you stay active and healthy. So what are you waiting for? Get moving!
